Striving for a relationship...

Since I have been away from Blogger for quite some time, I wanted to reconnect with the amaing bloggers that I follow on my dashboard. One of these amazing bloggers is

I am definitely connecting with her amazing new post "A Lesson Learned: A Dream". I went to Beth Moore's simulcast last weekend and came to a realization that our relationship with God is just that. A relationship. However, a relationship is something that you have to work for whether it's with God or another person. I want to be the woman, mom, and wife that is described in Psalm 31. I want to strive to be better in everyway that God has planned for me. Everyone definitely should head over to I can teach my child and read her new post!!

My goal...

Everyone has a goal in life, right? As my relationship with Christ has developed my idea of my goal has developed as well. Most woman would say that they want to be a good wife and mother. The other day I was reading on a new page that I found: Faith Lifts. I especially love the scripture reference that they used. Here it is in it's entirety:

 The Wife of Noble Character

10 A wife of noble character who can find?
She is worth far more than rubies.
11 Her husband has full confidence in her
and lacks nothing of value.
12 She brings him good, not harm,
all the days of her life.
13 She selects wool and flax
and works with eager hands.
14 She is like the merchant ships,
bringing her food from afar.
15 She gets up while it is still night;
she provides food for her family
and portions for her female servants.
16 She considers a field and buys it;
out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.
17 She sets about her work vigorously;
her arms are strong for her tasks.
18 She sees that her trading is profitable,
and her lamp does not go out at night.
19 In her hand she holds the distaff
and grasps the spindle with her fingers.
20 She opens her arms to the poor
and extends her hands to the needy.
21 When it snows, she has no fear for her household;
for all of them are clothed in scarlet.
22 She makes coverings for her bed;
she is clothed in fine linen and purple.
23 Her husband is respected at the city gate,
where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.
24 She makes linen garments and sells them,
and supplies the merchants with sashes.
25 She is clothed with strength and dignity;
she can laugh at the days to come.
26 She speaks with wisdom,
and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
27 She watches over the affairs of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness.
28 Her children arise and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:
29 “Many women do noble things,
but you surpass them all.”
30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.
31 Honor her for all that her hands have done,
and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

It would truly be an honor to be described as a noble or Godly wife and mother... I would even add teacher onto that list as well. Everyone has a story to tell and to live. I want to use my future story to be the best that I can be for the Lord. How are you going to use your story?

Have a blessed day,

Inspiration

" When you replace negative thoughts with positive ones,
you'll start having positive results."
-Willie Nelson

How great is this quote? I don't think I really need to add very much here except to say - wow! Love it. Love it. Love. It.

Inspiration

"Instead of giving myself reasons why I can't,
I give myself reasons why I can."

Can it get better than this? Even better than the tried and true quote of the Little Engine that Could. Unfortunately this is by an unknown person. But doesn't it sound just like something someone wise like Benjamin Franklin would say? What's that old adage? Never say never? I think this goes along with that. You should try things at least once before you say you don't like it (broccoli) or you can't do it (bungee jumping). Maybe we should change those suggestions to things like embossing or having things perfect. What do you think?

Inspiration

"To accomplish great things,
we must not only act, but also dream;
not only plan, but also believe."

This is one of my favorites for my kids and for myself. It's so important to know that great things didn't just happen, they started out as a dream. So many of us put our dreams on hold. It's one of the best things about crafting (at least to me) besides being able to get covered in glitter, cut and past like a kid, and even color; we're able to dream something and create it. It's awesome to be able to bring something to life like that!! There are very few things that feel better than sitting back from your crafting table to find that you have created something wonderfully unique and beautiful!
