It still thrills me....

Remember a looong time ago when I was so very thrilled about Esme Codell following me on Pinterest? Well I am just as excited about this newest person who started following my pins the other day. You might know her as well by this little site called: Mrs. Meacham's Classroom Snapshots

She is just toooooo stinkin' awesome for words! My grade level and I use her for so much each year! Tons of her lessons and ideas are used throughout all of our kindergarten rooms. She is great!

Blog love.... Clover Lane

I have been addicted to a new blog the past few days. Actually, it's more like a new-old blog to me.... one that I just rediscovered! I started out looking at her amazing tutorials and computer scrapbooking. But then I got sucked in to how she manages her house (5 kids!) and keeps it clean. She is definitely an inspiration and a fantastically easy read! Several of her parenting posts have really made me reflect on my parenting style (or somedays my lack-there-of )

Clover Lane

I hope she inspires you as much as she inspires me!

New Blog Alert: Life in Grace

I just found the most amazing blog thanks to Pinterest. I first saw this amazing button:

If you click the button you will be transported to an amazing tutorial on how to make the cutest possible tags for presents this holiday season!

What really had me was her amazing banner. I just want to curl up on that comfy looking couch! Plus her subheading is also amazing. I believe I will be spending quite a bit of time perusing her site in the coming days. I hope you are able to head over and enjoy it as well!

Oh my lawd!!!!

So, I know that good blog etiquette says to limit to only one blog post a day.. but oh, man, oh, man!!!
By the way, my title is my imaginary Southern accent. Anyways, on to what I wanted to show you! We all know about Pinterest (hence the freaking out that is about to take place!!!) and many of you should definitely know about Charity Preston over at The OC Blog.

Profile Picture of Charity Preston

But, have you seen her Pinterest page! That's where the 'Oh my lawdy!' comes in!!! She has 40 different boards that are all categorized about classroom needs, items, ideas. It goes on and on and on and on and..... I can't wait to begin to explore one board at a time!!

Best laid plans right?

So, I had several lovely posts sceduled to write this weekend but then... I started to surf on Pinterest... yep :) We all know what's coming next! I swear I have discovered this blog before and I don't know how I could have been so very busy that I haven't gone back.

First, it started with this picture:

how-to-make-a-plank-door-mat

And that led to my husband pricing wooden slats for me on-line :) Man I love that man. He totally just goes with my craziness!

Of course, then I started exploring her website... Oh my, I won't be posting any of those lovely things that I had planned now. Well, at least tonight.. or maybe at least for the next hour or two!

Has anyone else re-discovered any awesome blogs lately? Please share!!!

Pinterest is exploding!

Isn't it though? It has really caught on like a fire and is sweeping across the web. Craziness! I love seeing all the fantastic ideas that others find as well as being able to archive the items that I want or find. It is a fantastic site! This morning I found an awesome blog called:
This blog has so, so many different ideas that are simple yet creative and engaging to students. She has some adorable printables up for free that I will definitely be grabbing before I go back to school (next week is the end of vacation!!!). You definitely need to go on over and check out her site! Plus I have added the button for my Pinterest to my sidebar. If you'd like to follow me, just click the button. Let me know if you would like an invite to Pinterest, too. This is an awesome place that everyone should enjoy!!

Project #2- How do you add a signature?

Don't you just love when you click onto a new blog? You get to stare at all of the wonderful designs and backgrounds that they have on their pages? It's definitely one of the first things that I notice about blogs.
If you are interested in looking at some gorgeous blogs, here are some of my favorite eye-candies:
Today's Creative Blog
I love her soft paisley in the background (favorite!) and her bright, bold header.
Sometimes I'm just a sucker for a very simplistic design on a blog.

Lollychops
I love how Lolly takes her love of teal and uses it to personalize her blog. It looks fantastic!

Ashley is an amazing crafter and mommy! She lets her projects do the talking. Hers is another fantastic and simplistic design that I adore. Oh to have a headers like hers!

Made
*sigh* Again, more amazing headers that I adore. Dana even changes hers for the different seasons!
I love me some simplistic birds... especially on a beautiful colored header!

She's out of my league on so many levels!

Any who, where am I going with this? Well, while I am not quite up to the challenge of recreating my entire design by myself. I did decide that I wanted something that many wonderful ladies out there have on their blogs: a signature. It makes your blog look beautiful, personalized, and polished.

So, with some guidance of Moms Who Blog, I created my very own!

Would you like your very own?

Here's how to create your very own signature:
1. Go to My Live Signature. You can either register or make your own as a guest. This website is great in allowing you to go through the steps.
2. There are several steps that you will have to go through to create your signature.
2a.You first type your name.
2b. Choose your font that you like. (They have over 100 different ones!!)
2c. Choose the size you would like.
2d. Choose the slant that you would like for your signature.
3. When you click to continue you want to choose "Want to use this signature?"
4. This will take you to a separate window where you will get the HTML code for your signature.

Now what do you do with it?

Well, if you have blogger (like I do), go to your dashboard and click on settings and then formatting. At the very bottom of your formatting page you have a box that is the template for every post that you ever make. Add the HTML text into your template. I also went ahead and added a closing statement because when I added the HTML coding and tried to type on a new post, it wanted to make all of my text as a link.
Easy right?

I am so happy with my signature. I'm also proud of myself that I managed to complete a project I've wanted to do for a very long time... all while sitting on my couch in a matter of 30 minutes!

If you decide to add a signature to your blog, please leave a comment. I'd love to check out your new feature. Plus, check out some of those amazing eye-candy sites I shared!
