My goal...

Everyone has a goal in life, right? As my relationship with Christ has developed my idea of my goal has developed as well. Most woman would say that they want to be a good wife and mother. The other day I was reading on a new page that I found: Faith Lifts. I especially love the scripture reference that they used. Here it is in it's entirety:

 The Wife of Noble Character

10 A wife of noble character who can find?

She is worth far more than rubies.

11 Her husband has full confidence in her

and lacks nothing of value.

12 She brings him good, not harm,

all the days of her life.

13 She selects wool and flax

and works with eager hands.

14 She is like the merchant ships,

bringing her food from afar.

15 She gets up while it is still night;

she provides food for her family

and portions for her female servants.

16 She considers a field and buys it;

out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.

17 She sets about her work vigorously;

her arms are strong for her tasks.

18 She sees that her trading is profitable,

and her lamp does not go out at night.

19 In her hand she holds the distaff

and grasps the spindle with her fingers.

20 She opens her arms to the poor

and extends her hands to the needy.

21 When it snows, she has no fear for her household;

for all of them are clothed in scarlet.

22 She makes coverings for her bed;

she is clothed in fine linen and purple.

23 Her husband is respected at the city gate,

where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.

24 She makes linen garments and sells them,

and supplies the merchants with sashes.

25 She is clothed with strength and dignity;

she can laugh at the days to come.

26 She speaks with wisdom,

and faithful instruction is on her tongue.

27 She watches over the affairs of her household

and does not eat the bread of idleness.

28 Her children arise and call her blessed;

her husband also, and he praises her:

29 “Many women do noble things,

but you surpass them all.”

30 Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;

but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praised.

31 Honor her for all that her hands have done,

and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

It would truly be an honor to be described as a noble or Godly wife and mother... I would even add teacher onto that list as well. Everyone has a story to tell and to live. I want to use my future story to be the best that I can be for the Lord. How are you going to use your story?

Who are you supposed to rescue?

For Christmas my mother bought me a daily bible study book called Jesus Calling by Sarah Young. Now, I'm not the best at keeping up with daily things like this but at times I feel myself drawn to the book and typically the scripture and message tends to really hit me close to the heart. Today was one of those days. The scripture to read was Psalm 23:1-4 and 2 Corinthians 4:16-17. The message that stood out to me was collaborating with God in order to do his works. Our preacher today was speaking on how we are either needing to be rescued or the fact that we are meant to rescue someone else. The challenge delivered to us was that we should pray about and reach out to those that the Lord has placed on our heart. So, who is He telling you to rescue?

"Therefore we do not lose heart. Even though our outward man is perishing, yet the inward man is being renewed day by day." 2 Corinthians 4:16-17

Sunday's Scripture

Today, I do not have a particualr scripture picked out. It's more of a message:

"Be thankful to God for all that you have and rejoice in it."

I was surfing my dashboard of all the new postings and came across A girl and a glue gun 's newest post: for the staats

I then headed over to headed over to The Staats page. I proceeded to read all about their sweet baby girl. She was 4 month old. I saw was because she recently passed away. I read each of the posts and am praying for them and their loss.

I hope that everyone else has had a fabulous weekend as well! We certainly have here. I'm not sure that I reached all 5 of my goals from Friday. But I certainly have gotten a lot done! Watch in the next few days for a new tutorial and a project that I got done. Yay for weekends! But truely, we have had one of the best weekends that we've had. We simply enjoyed our family and had fun together. It was great and I thank God for the joy and the peace that we have!

My Bible study group read Philippians this week. One verse stood out to me that I'd like to share. I know that it has been featured on many bumper stickers and t-shirts across the world. But I feel like it will definitely be inspirational to many this week:
